The last few days have meant that more than a few people have passed the “21-28 days” estimation for delivery of their Print on demand GB orders.
There has been little to no word about it from MyMiniFactory (the third party printing company) but that is expected and fine. A bit more concerning is that SFG were unprepared for the questions about what is going on with all our orders. Jamie Perkins (the GB lead at SFG) has promised to investigate and return to the customers with a general update on shipping status, and even though I think it’s several days later than I would’ve wished for, I am still in good spirits and have high hopes 🙂
Some have been really loosing faith over this unpreparedness, that looks like lack of communication. Others have been more vocal about waiting patiently, and honestly both sides of the argument have god points. For me personally, I want to make clear that I still have faith in SFG around all of this, and I urge everyone else to do to.

The initial rush of orders will have flooded MMF, probably way more than was discussed beforehand when SFG made the POD deal with them. Printing will take time, so unstable delivery periods is really both expected and ok.
What I don’t like is what seemed like surprise that customers want answers, when the estimated numbers of days have passed. Just clear transparent info about status would go a long way, and that communication chain needs some work.
Give customers info before it turns into worried questions. For me, what feedback I want to send to SFG, take this as constructive criticism about the communication, not about the POD solution in general but specifically regarding order-info and overall shipping status.
Waiting some more, and staying on the Hype Train, that I can absolutely do. I fully believe they’re doing all they can.
We hope to get word about shipping status before the weekend is over.
