Summer holidays have ended, and today we got official word from SFG about the Crossover Models! Inclulding an estimated date for release – and it’s just two weeks away!

The SFG blog post specifies that the crossover model pairs will be released to the SFG webshop during the week starting with September 2nd which means that it’s less than two weeks until it might come. Likely we see it live around friday the 6th or so, but you get the picture.
This is great!
From the heading of the SFG blog post we know kinda certain that we’re looking at crossover minis for the Minor Guilds only, that is “the playdowns” and not for the playups to Major Guilds. While this is expected and understandable at this time, I really hope we’ll see a complete cycle of crossover pairs for all guilds. Mainly I hope this because I want each crossover to officially have at least two sculpts, one for each guild they can play in. If that’s something for a farther future I can understand it, but I do hope it’ll be soon.
No word yet on wether or not we’ll see any brand new sculpts or which route that SFG have taken on that, but they’ve hinted at the possibility before and it sure would be awesome so I keep on hoping for it. Time will tell, and the Hype Train is back on track again!
