Recently we got informal word from Rich Loxam that they were planning meeting(s) about production options for Guild Ball. At that time (the GAMA event) the meeting was postponed, but today he sent a pic on discord and mentioned that “Meetings with production side went well. These are sample minis, more discussions yet to have 🙂” – which sounds like great news! And the sample looks like great quality.
However, we don’t really know what the plans or hopes are for future GB production. I think one of the following are more likely, but no harm in hoping for bigger plans.
Speculation:
- Either it’s only/mainly about securing the POD update for production without bases. That’s been planned for a long time, so that would absolutely be progress if that gets updated.
- Or it could be meetings about plans and options that include stock production to get GB to retailers again. This is ONLY speculation on my part, but wouldn’t it be really wonderful if that’s where we’re heading during this or next year?
