Evaluation of models shipped to user “zgray” on the GBCP discord.
New PoD models nicely packaged, all carefully wrapped individually in bubble wrap, or doubly with bottoms of bases together, with bubble wrapped models then tucked nicely in boxes inside of shipping box.
Quality overall looks good. A couple of blades are a bit bent, maybe from shipping, and Flea has a wicked lean.
Layne has a small case of “Minerva face” and some other evidence of printing error on his chest. It looks worse on the close up photos below than to the naked eye. All models could use a litte cleanup, but the quality seems fine. They’re also a bit heftier than imagined. Heavier than the old resin models at least; based on first impression and memory, haven’t weighed them side by side.
“I’ll say, having these in hand, one of my first thoughts was that I would happily pick up the whole line PoD if I didn’t already own everything else. I like them.”

Feedback to zgray’s photos were mixed feelings, but still generally happy.
In all honesty, those supports could be better. They shouldn’t have such massive tips to where that’s a problem. Proper, engineered supports should pull off like velcro and leave no marks behind. That refers to full time support engineering service though.
Leftover supports like marked in this picture can scar your models when you remove them. For someone inexperienced with support removal, those leftovers can be a pain.
Still, you’d be doing more or less the same thing if you were clipping GW models out of a sprue. And older average metal models are usually way worse than this. We’re all curious to see more results, but ultimately some support leftovers are not so bad in most cases.
More than one player in the GBCP discord channel took this update as the last thing they needed to decide to buy into the POD.
Thumbs up!
