This email was sent today, due to the second report of uncured resin arriving at a customer. The reason why this is important is that uncured resin is toxic, it’s a health issue. Read more about that in this previous article, and in this one. Additional info may also be found in other such posts under the News category here on The Bench.
It is really appreciated that SFG decided to send this kind of email to customers that risk being affected. We do miss any kind of actual information about why it is important to be careful with uncured resin though. Many customers may not know what uncured resin is or does, this is not just a quality issue it’s more important than that. So while SFG did 100% the right thing to send this to their customers, the actual email gets maybe a 60% ok from The Bench. We will likely still see more info on this during next week.
Hi,
We’re getting in touch because you ordered Guild Ball miniatures from our store on or before March 5th.
We’ve become aware that two orders from before this date were incorrectly sent out with some hollow miniatures and containing trace amounts of uncured resin.
Only two instances have been reported, both from the same Butchers Guild SKU.
We immediately contacted our manufacturing partners to address and fix the issue when the first report came in, but the second instance has highlighted that any orders placed before March 5th for this SKU may still have received the hollowed version.
Although we’ve only seen this issue with the Butchers Guild, we’re emailing everyone who placed an order for any Guild Ball miniatures on or before March 5th to be careful when removing the miniatures from the packaging.
If you believe your order has been affected and would like to get in touch, please contact us using this form with the subject line ‘Potential Uncured Resin’, including photos of the affected mini(s).
If your order was placed more than 20 working days ago and you’d like a status update, please use this form instead.
Our manufacturing partner extends their apologies and is taking the matter very seriously. Any affected orders will be replaced.
For any orders placed from March 5th onwards, this issue has been corrected, and there should not be any hollowed miniatures in any SKU in these orders.
Thank you,
Steamforged Games
