Yesterday there was a good question in the SFG discord channel, that got an inspiring answer. Just informal at this point of course, but such things get on The Bench still 🙂
“From a bigger business standpoint, does SFG feel like acquiring WMH/IK gives them more competitive traction in terms of a more stable benchmark product to build the business on going forward – a product like Warhammer for GW?
If so, does this mean it gives SFG the ability to get other IP’s (namely Guild Ball) lined out and possibly back on store shelves?”
“Good question.
Right now our focus is to re-establish Warmachine into the LGS, etc.
Clearly, an established IP of 25 years will give us a strong position in the market within miniature games. We would hope that allows us ‘a rising tide lifts all boats‘ situation.”
Like I said, while it’s absolutely not much, it still shows a positivity for such a future that I can’t help to be excited about. Time will tell where we’re headed.
See you on the pitch! 🙂
