This justifies a post of its own, since it’s an issue that’s been talked about a lot from time to time since the very first release of the POD. Birefly mentioned in the last SFG blog post:
“We’ve been made aware of some instances where the images shown on the website don’t exactly match the STL’s, meaning miniatures look different when they arrive. The website images are being updated next week.”

This one of Colossus is a good example, and the Butcher goal post is probably one of the more frequently reported ones.
There have been others as well.

In addition to the STL’s differing from the images in several cases, the Falconers image shows all minis except not showing Mataagi at all. We’re all glad that the STL include him even if the image didn’t
In some instances the images changed around from day to day as well – most likely due to being adjusted though, which is good of course.
The quick-fix to adress this a while back was to make sure that there is a disclaimer text on the images saying that the final product may look different that the image, but to be honest that never really felt right. If I buy a red shirt and get a blue one, I might like blue but it’s still not what I paid for. It’s just kinda bad to not have the correct images on a webshop, and that goes for anyone selling anything on a webshop.
I can in some ways respect that SFG didn’t have the time to prioritize fixing this issue. But with that said, I’m really glad that it’s finaly getting looked at.
