(Scroll down for spreadsheet greatness, first just some Bench text)
😉
There are many great resources around, for many different things. So many people doing great things for the hobby.
This resource here is something that I’ve been meaning to post about for quite some time – ever since I saw the absolutely awesome spreadsheet that is the basis for how the Playbook (guildball.app) web app works. Playbook is completely built on data being read from a living spreadsheet and put onto background imagery. Really really well made, a super smart way to do it.
The original spreadsheet that Chris freely shared a copy of, contains all data that is printed on Guild Ball character cards. So all of it is free information that Steamforge also offers freely and so on, but put together like this – it becomes very handy a resource in itself.
All the cred to Chris!
Thanks for putting all the data in a spreadsheet, which is absolutely the biggest part of this. My only part in it was to hopefully make a version that’s easier for people to navigate and filter in, than for the app system. And to post about it here to spread accessibility a little.
This will not be interesting to everyone, I know I know.
Some of you have minds and memories that let you go about not needing things like this, and others of you out there just aren’t comfortable/interested in navigating spreadsheets. Full respect to all of you as well!
But for anyone that thinks it can be a handy resource, here it is 🙂

Use this however you like!
Navigate with the tabs in the bottom (pic 1 below).
Filter or sort in columns by clicking the funnel/something shape in the column you want to moderate (pic 2 below, and sorry for the swedish setting there).
See how many models are in you current filtering (pic 3 below).

The “Row Nr” column is just a quick sorting to get a “basic setting” that’s easy to revert to and restart – it’s sorted on guild, captaincy and alphabetical model name.
Unless you’re one of the people who have been into this game since the beinning and have super good memory, questions like “what’s the highest printed jog speed among all models?” and “what’s the average HP among squaddies within these three guilds?” will be kinda hard to answer without a tool like this.
Even just an overview in list form of “Character Plays on models in my guild” that can be really useful, especially when learning a new guild or theorycrafting about what to play against my best friend’s new guild and so on.
Even the easy ones like “Who was it that has Close Control in my guild?” that are easily found elsewhere as well, can still be nice to quickly find in the spreadsheet.
If anyone have any questions at all about how to operate the spreadsheet, please just ask!
Either as a comment here, on discord or fb, or though The Bench email.
Happy gaming everyone!
