I’ve been thinking a lot about GB these last few days, like the rest of you. And I want to write some thoughts out.

The main reasons I stopped playing was not actually due to Guild Ball or SFG at all.
The local GB community we had (very small but very active) here in the north of Sweden, I don’t remember us having the stocking-problem all that much.
Of course our community might have grown more locally if there were more teams and stuff in easy reach. But generally the few people we met that were interested, they got hold of a team that they wanted to play. We went to the next city south for bigger events a few times, but were generally happy playing this great game with just each other.
The pandemic hit and I barely met my best friends at all for a looong time. More or less everyone, was more or less depressed, so we didnt really get around to playing online either.
All my miniature gaming stuff (GB mainly, but also Warmachine/Hordes and Gaslands) even went into boxes in the attic.
After things went back to normal we have been playing boardgames only, and the minis were still in the attic until last week. It feels great to rediscover all of it! 
I feel like the floodgates of my pre-corona miniwargaming hobby interest suddenly opened wide.
In one way nothing really changed for me with the GB Revival Announcement, since I already have more teams and terrain than I need. But still, this seems to have become the push that got me fired up and excited about this kind of stuff again.
While a lot of people are feeling “cautiously optimistic” I rather feel like “HELL YEAH optimistic”.
I think so far SFG has done everything right this past week, in the way they’re trying to rekindle the support for this game that so many of us quite apparently love.
I really think this PoD and Free Kickoff is a great way to get GB back up and initiate the slowandsteady project. The apologetic attitude is also a serious plus. While I am honestly not really among those who were offended by SFG, I really appreciate the effort to try and make everything right here.
I dont really know all that was said and who are/were angry, and in truth I really dont need to know. I sincerely hope that everyone involved can agree and come to terms, to cooperate and that it will lead to stuff we long for.
Like official status for existing Lamplighters, and finishing all the other missing Minor Guilds, and during/after that, a future where a healthy less-salty GB community thrives and grows.
The Q&A left me feeling really positive and wanting more (in a good way).
I wish for SFG to continue to listen to the community, but also for contiued transparency along with the listening.
When possible I want to know what’s being decided and what the plan is, and the thoughts behind it. That builds trust, even when/if I dont agree with the plan.
I will love to fill out questionnaires or anything SFG will use to gather formal feedback.
I so far feel confident that they will listen to the community. The approach so far these last few days/weeks have been great. I feel you SFG, and I believe in your intention to get this rekindled as a passionproject and not a cashgrab or the like.
I really like the image of building bridges that is mentioned here and there.
Like I said above, I will be playing again, and if interest sparks around me I will try to build an active local community.
A brick and mortar store helps tremendously with spreading the gospel of course, but we dont have one with gaming space any more up here. But people like me and our tiny community up here will play regardless.
I would absolutely love a chance to host an event like when we had players from both finland and sweden coming TO US to play. That felt amazing.
Id also love to go to Stockholm or even Finland or Norway (or further even to UK maybe!) to play an event sometime.
This all sort of became directed to the community, but to know that pople like Hart and Loxam (I dont know many names at SFG yet) are reading and caring what we think, that is so so great.
All in all, I’m here for all of this.
