There are new ballers in town!
The esteemed (e-steamed?) mr Cult of 1s is back at it, sculpting models and creating cool fanmade guildballers. This time together with the equally classy mr GlassWalker, they are on their way to finalising a whole new fanmade major guild. 😀 <3
DISCLAIMER: This is a fan made project that is not affiliated with SFG or the GBCP.
Why Anatomists and not The Physicians? Cult of 1s got the answer.
“I had a convo with Sherwin (the SFG lore master of Guild Ball) and it was revealed to me that the Physicians Guild are like druids and clerics who keep their secrets close to the chest, and are not likely to ever make an appearance on the pitch as a team.
However, being that there is a Scholars Guild out there, and the pursuit of knowledge exists within this setting – it seems only fitting that people who aren’t a part of the Physicians Guild in name could still be so in profession. Bodies can still be mended and some things can still be learned.
So the physicians of the Anatomists Guild are more in the vein of those who study medicine, rather than practice any mystical arts. I’d also like to imagine it would be the people who came to help those like Layne when addiction came over him or the like.”
That sounds awesome! And just getting something brand new to sink our teeth into feels really cool. Personally I’d looove to take on a project like this sometime, but now is not my time.
Shine the spotlight on The Anatomists!

Transfusion Tokens
A model may have up to 2 transfusion tokens. During its activation, a friendly Physician model may remove the bleed condition from any model within 3″ to gain a transfusion token.
A model may spend a transfusion token to remove 1 condition it is currently suffering, Regain 2 HP, or give target friendly model within 3” a transfusion token.
A model can spend up to 3 transfusion tokens during an activation.
CultOf1s go on to describe the Anatomists captain a bit.
“My favorite captain Caduceus is/was a member of the Physicians Guild, but moved to the Anatomists Guild seeking different ways to heal the body after injury in ways that magic could not.
She was someone who sat at the edge of the pitch and watched the game be played, learning the strategies, and with that knowledge she takes to the pitch representing the anatomists.”

“They have a plague doctor who does live tests on the other team. Frankenstein and his monster. A person obsessed with maggots, and a few other sketchy types. Leech is definitely a vampire. And they did snag Bonesaw as their veteran…”

“There are 3 physicians in the base 6.
Captain Caduceus can’t do damage, she is the firmest on the Hippocratic oath. She wants to play ball and play ball alone, however she will always aid her colleagues. She is more about positioning and strategy.
Triage is the direct understudy of Caduceus. She is still a student but practices with the physicians. She likes to play ball but she is ok with a fight now and again. She has rules to hand out Put me back in coach and makes the takeout worth less.”

“Then we have Leech. He is an old doctor who has seen the horrors of the world. Though a physician today, he used to be a soldier. He knows how to fight and he knows how to put someone down so they could be brought back up. He is however is a tall, pale figure with mechanica limbs sprouting from his back and a mess of tubes ready for a blood drive.
Some of the guild are more focused on mal-practice. The nurses are the damage dealers and the med student and combat medic are able to do a little but they mostly apply and pull Bleed. They have a tanky nurse in the model Apothecary.”

They have most of the rules for 15 models finished, and some more flavour like above, if I got it right from what was mentioned recently. In addition to making cards and 3D modeling they aim to make old school paper dolls as well, to make playtesting more accessible.
They are aiming to release the full fanmade guild before/around the end of this year, and oh boy we’re looking forward to it!

great looking models, but things like staffs and crutches come out very fragile. any chance of beefing those up and posting the adapted models without bases?
