First off, I have to say I really appreciate getting these news.
No matter if I have to wait a little longer for my order, knowing what’s up makes all the difference. And even though I stand by my previous statement that I’d have liked that kind of action sooner, I really appreciate Jamie and other SFG employees working late on a friday to get us this official update.
In two parts, here’s the actual SFG news:
(1)
We reached out via email and followed up via phone today after we didn’t hear back fast enough.
We’re also speaking to our partners about general updates as we understand the frustration at hearing nothing.
The 28 day window for orders placed on Feb 1 was up yesterday. We’re working out kinks in a new system and really appreciate your patience while we do it. There should be a further update this evening.
(2)
Hey folks, we’ve got an update on Guild Ball orders!
Apologies this took a day or so to get.
We’ve spoken to our POD partners on the phone today and here’s where things are up to.
They are prioritising Guild Ball orders.
Some miniatures had to be/are having to be reprinted because they weren’t up to scratch, which we weren’t made aware of until today, and has affected the timeline on some orders. We’re now working closely with them to correct any issues, including tweaking print files and supports if needed, and I’ll be regularly checking in on progress.
They’re going to come back to us early next week with a detailed update.
We did a number of test prints beforehand to check for issues. We’ll know more next week as to why these have come up now and not before.
~
That ends the info, and while we are all very eager for more info during next week about what continues to go on. Now we can sleep easy, knowing that SFG cares and that Quality Control ensures that we’re not being sent horrible minis. Overall 100% satisfied customer again, and I never left the Hype Train!

For reference, below is the email that many customers (unclear why not all got it) was sent when placing their order a few weeks ago.
Hello!
We really appreciate your Guild Ball order and are blown away by the response we’ve received.
As we dive into processing the first batch, we wanted to give you an update on production timelines.
Based on the current order volume, we anticipate delivery within 21 to 28 days for small to medium orders and 30 to 40 days for orders over £200. While we expect a quicker turnaround after the initial rush, we will be updating our product descriptions to reflect the latest delivery timings.
We’ll also closely monitor timelines on the first few order runs to make sure our estimates remain accurate. If there are any further updates, we’ll inform you promptly over email.
In the meantime, you can also find us and other fans in the Steamforged Discord.
Thank you once again for your order.
Best, Steamforged Games

All in all, in terms of Guild Ball and SFG-trust and all of it, this was kinda the best possible way to step into this weekend. <3
See you on the pitch ballers!
selling the STLs directly would have avoided this.
It would have, but I don’t think the game could be supported as well as we all would like if they did. Would be a ton of people that would jist get the STL from friends without paying. Guild Ball costs money to develop.
