Finally some official word for this awesomeness! Not saying it’s been too long, but I’ve been hoping to see them out in the open for a while now. So so so good to see them now.

The shipping is insane unfortunately, but I think we need to start expecting that with the world being what it is these days.
Here is a breakdown of all three cards that were previewed as part of the preorder teaser:
Extra Shot
Initiative +1
Influence +0
The opposing player may choose one of your models. Then, you may choose two other friendly models. The friendly models you chose gain +1 TAC and may Sprint without spending influence.
So what happens is that the opponent may hold one of your models from getting a buff, but aside from that model you may chose any two of your models to gain the buff.
Really powerful card! And that’s why it’s at only 1 initiative. π
Lost Focus
Initiative: +3
Influence: +0
Choose one of the following:
* The first time an enemy model makes a kick, they suffer -1/-2″ KICK for the duration of the action.
* The first time a friendly model is damaged by an enemy attack or play, the friendly model may recover 3 HP after the action is resolved.
Basically brings another hurdle for the opponent to overcome if they expect to go first, and you get to choose one aspect of the game that will be a little harder for them. If you expect them to bash you, they need to hit more or harder, and if you expect them to score a goal they’ll have to push it to succeed.
Do note that they don’t have to do what you expect them to, and this card may very well even be what changes their mind, for better or worse. π
Match Fixing
Initiative: +4
Influence:+0
Predict aloud wether the first time your opponent scores VP this turn will be as a result of a goal or a take down. If your prediction is correct, you may allocate 2 influence between two friendly models.
So if you guess correctly how your opponent will advance, you get two bonus INF to allocat as you like on any of your models. The trick here is just like with the card above, that the playing of this card may very well change the opponent’s mind about wht to do. Do also note that the effect remains even if several activations pass without scoring VPs during the turn.
Also yes “take down” means basically the same as “take out” and both terms are in the basic rules, it’s just that one is more commonly used. There have already been questions, and while I think it was unnecessary to print this wording we can all probably get used to it pretty quickly π
Soooo what do you think about these three cards?
Will you order the new gameplan deck? I have preordered mine already for sure, shipping costs be damned.
A while after the physical deck has been released there will be free digital options to get the cards just like normal, promised by SFG openly. But at this time there is only the physical one that you get partly to be first with brand new physical stuff for the game, and partly to support the game we love.
Really looking forward to seeing all the other new cards being released!
