Jamie Perkins, who is Product Owner of Guild Ball hosted Warmanchester on the last weekend of august. It is absolutely one of the biggest GB tournaments held thus far since The Revival.
They humbly call it “the biggest GB event in the UK” but informally I would honestly want to dub it The GB World Championship in celebration of such a big event. At least for this year specifically, due to the high international attendance and so many known players traveling to Element Games in Manchester to compete.
NOTE: Neither GBCP nor SFG nor Perkins use this phrase, I’m just saying that’s what I call it. Warmanchester inspires me and so many other GB communities to grow, and that deserves to be celebrated!
I really wanted to go, but this year it felt like one step too big for me. So I had to host an event of my own for now, and will absolutely aim at going to Warmanchester next year.
Perkins himself posted about it after the event weekend was finished:

“That’s another year of Warmanchester wrapped up, and wow what a year!
We scaled up to a full weekend, doubled attendance to 90, attracted 20 international players, and managed to keep two gaming systems on different schedules running relatively smoothly!
Thank you so much to all our amazing attendees. So many returning faces and an equal number of brand new ones! You make Warmanchester an outstanding experience by being as awesome as you all are!
The team and I are absolutely exhausted but also incredibly proud of how the weekend went. We’re already bristling with ideas on what we want to do bigger and better for next year.
We’ll be coming back with an attendee survey so you can let us know what you loved and what you’d like to love more. We remain laser focused on providing the best weekend gaming experience we can.
Warmanchester will be back for 2026, taking place on August 22nd and 23rd, save the date!”
