Come one, come all! Welcome to the north of Sweden for a full weekend of Guild Ball.
Just like last year, I am hosting Swedish Masters of Guild Ball in September!
The weekend 12th-13th september we will get players from several different nationalities together for a real nice tournament, with some great prizes, and a good time to be had by all.
Friday evening will have room for casual play and hanging out of course. Number of rounds and structure will be decided when we see how many players we are in total. Also, if you can only attend on one of the days, let me know and we’ll figure that out too, no worries. We’d rather you come and play at all if you can.
Do note that even though we say “Swedish Masters” that any and all nationalities are welcome!
Last year we had both Finnish, Brittish and Swedish players. Now I’m holding out hope for some Norwegians as well!
Just like last year, I’ve been to Finland and played in the Finnish Masters this year too, and as always I’m struck with how wonderfully fun it is to be part of well made gaming events.
So naturally I hope to create one here back home in Sweden as well!
I was hoping to have kindled other players in Sweden to get communities going by now, at least in Stockholm, but alas I haven’t managed to make Guild Ball spread as much as we’d all have liked.
Some time sooner or later I hope to be able to host Swedish Masters at Alphaspel in Stockholm since it would be a perfect place for it, and easier to travel to for basically everyone. But I have to either get people who actually live there to start playing (it’s a 10 hour drive away for me!) or maaybe someday I could take a few days vacation to host it there myself.
Anyhow! This year again in Luleå.

The door just next to the realestate broker. Code in the door to enter, but we’ll be there from before the event starts and make sure everyone can get in during both days.
Hotel examples close to the event
- Clarion and Savoy are closest, and really nice hotels.
- Citysleep Hostel is most likely cheepest.
- Scandic that several have asked about is very accessible with car, but a little further away.

Travel info
- Travel by train or bus is easy and accessible, and absolutely fair priced. The end stations for both are very central, within walking distance of both the venue and most sleep-accomodations.
- Arriving with car is also accessible from both north and south via the highway, and parking should not be a problem.
- For anyone who decides to fly to Luleå, I will be happy to come and drive you from the airport (LLA, Kallax Airport) that is located a few miles outside of the city.
